Could a choice in color, if changed seasonly, create a warmer aesthetic?
I was in an empty home with plain white walls just as a cold front came into Dallas.
Could this cold room feel colder?
I think we will find it depends on personality for the most part, but there are real benefits to changing colors in a room. I will see what i can find.

I think it would be great if homes were deliberately constructed in such a way to make frequent color changes easy to accomplish.
But the only way I see this being practical is the use of semi-free standing walls, which could be painted an accent color. One impediment to color changes in many new homes is the wide open floor plan, with few “stops.” Because one long wall may connect 2 or more spaces, there is no place to switch colors.
Openness is a nice trend as it eliminates claustrophobic feeling in smaller rooms, but some balance (half walls, accent walls, pillar type walls) to break it up would give a handy spot to apply a jolt of color.
I like the pillar wall in an open room for an Accent Color.
In my experience lighting can change the color of a room if properly executed.
Regardless people should be more open to an occasional use of color in interior and exterior design projects.
